Since the rubberized flap is covered by a protective silicone strip, the adhesive strength remains fully intact for years. With conventional self-adhesive envelopes, the adhesive often dries out after a while without this protection. To activate the adhesive, simply remove the backing strip and press down briefly on the straight flap – the seal will immediately hold tight.
