A B6 envelope is the perfect choice when standard formats reach their limits. With DIN B6 dimensions of 125 x 176 mm, this format offers significantly more space than the classic C6 envelope. It is therefore ideal for handmade greeting cards, elegant wedding invitations, or business mailings with multiple enclosures. At Kuvertwelt.de, you will find an exclusive selection of B6 envelopes in numerous colors and paper qualities—from rustic kraft paper to luxurious designs with real silk lining. Discover the versatility of this format and skillfully showcase your correspondence while benefiting from our attractive bulk prices and fast shipping.
DIN B6 dimensions: Why the size 125 x 176 mm is so popular
Measuring 125 x 176 mm, the B6 envelope is a real insider tip for special mail. While the C6 format (114 x 162 mm) is tailored precisely to DIN A6 postcards, the B6 format offers that extra space that often makes all the difference. Not only do A6 folding cards fit easily into a B6 envelope, but it can even be used to enclose entire C6 envelopes. This feature makes it the first choice for professional election documents (e.g., works council elections), where a smaller ballot envelope must be sent in a larger outer envelope.
Material diversity: From kraft paper to metallic sheen
Our range includes B6 envelopes to suit every taste and purpose. We offer a wide range of materials:
- Classic colors: timeless white, elegant cream, and bold shades such as blue, red, or dark green.
- Exclusive look: metallic envelopes in gold and silver for festive occasions such as Christmas or anniversaries.
- Natural look: Trendy B6 envelopes made from kraft paper for invitations in vintage or boho style.
- Haptic experience: Please note that our papers are available in different weights. We carry both lightweight standard papers and heavy premium qualities that feel particularly high-quality.
Comparison of closure types for our B6 envelopes
Depending on the intended use, you can choose between different adhesive techniques, which differ in appearance and handling:
- Wet adhesive with pointed flap: The classic choice for invitation cards. The pointed flap gives the B6 envelope a traditional, elegant look. The adhesive is easily activated by moistening.
- Adhesive with peel-off strip: Ideal for larger shipping volumes or stockpiling. The straight flap has an adhesive strip that seals immediately when peeled off and pressed down. This version is particularly practical for everyday office use.
Areas of application: More than just a card envelope
The generous B6 size makes this envelope a true all-rounder. It is particularly appreciated in the following areas:
- Weddings & celebrations: If the invitation consists of several cards (e.g., reply card, directions), the B6 size offers the necessary space without making the content appear squashed.
- Elections & referendums: As outer envelopes for ballot envelopes in C6 or C7 format.
- Premium business mail: To stand out from the crowd of standard letters, companies like to use the slightly larger B6 format for exclusive customer correspondence.
